Frequently Asked Questions

Do you see clients in person?

I am vaccinated and boosted and made the decision to return to in-person work after working only via telehealth for some time during the Covid-19 pandemic. I can also provide telehealth if a client so desires. Currently, I see clients in person out of Sierra Madre, CA, near Pasadena as well as at my office in Glendora, CA.

Cost and duration of Sessions?

My fee for sessions is $165for 50 minutes of individual therapy and $200 per 60 minutes of couples therapy. When I have room in my case-load, I can sometimes offer a sliding scale or lower fee until a client can afford my full fee.

Do you take insurance?

I can take PPO insurance if the insurance provider has out-of-network mental health coverage. I am adept at contacting a patients insurance to determine if my services are covered, so please contact me if you are unsure and I can find out. If this is the case, then I can submit the bill directly to your insurance and they will mail a reimbursement check to you for the portion of my fee they cover (for instance, if I bill $150, and they cover 50%, then you’d be mailed a check for $75).

Alternatively, I can also provide a “superbill” if your insurance covers out of network mental healthcare. With a superbill, you pay for therapy and I send you a superbill that describes the therapy, diagnosis and services rendered, along with other elements needed for insurance companies to reimburse you, the client. Clients can then submit superbills for reimbursement with their insurance company.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

I have a 24 hour notice cancellation policy. If a client cancels with less than 24 hours of notice, then I bill the full fee for the missed session.

How long does therapy take?

This is a complex question to answer. Sometimes, I have clients who feel better and get what they came to get out of therapy in 6-8 sessions. However, some clients choose to see me for as long as several years, before perhaps downgrading to a monthly check-in or every other week. The answer to how long it takes depends on the goals of therapy, the complexity of the difficulty bringing a client in, and the pace of change.

What Neighborhoods are near your office?

My offices are in Sierra Madre and Glendora, and I provide therapy to clients who may travel from Monrovia, Arcadia, Pasadena, Altadena, Duarte, Baldwin Park, Burbank, Azusa, San Dimas, La Verne, Pomona, Covina and West Covina.
